Pitch 3 (24) only. An exciting onsight with no chalk on anything. Mostly this pitch is sustained thin pumping at hard 22. However, this climb harbours a seriously tricky crux featuring a desperately long reach off a 1/4 mono-crimp. The finish up the steep, groovy stemming feature is pretty cool when hanging out at the top of the majestic Bentrovato wall.

Really fun climb. loved it. Climbing it in the rain while the crux holds are all wet makes it all that more fun and exciting, unusually! Ticked on my second shot.

I have wondered whether i would be able to climb this, given that its so technical with gastons, sidepulls and underclings, on tiny feet, which is not at all my style but i fucking LOVED this route!! I probably should've ticked it on the second burn, just forgot one foot at the crux and it cost me. Looking forward to the rematch!

Ahhh, this one felt sweet! Took 3 shots today. 1 to equip, 1 slip and then cruised up on the third shot. Such great climbing!

Solid before and after one stopper reach move, that needs 2cm extension. Will have to look for different short person sequence as too low percentage otherwise.

Managed to work out the crux but couldn't stick it 2nd shot. Super cool crux move. Rock is sharp and reduced my skin levels too much to have another shot .

Second shot today, probably 8-10 total. Really enjoyed my time on this rig, tricky top crux which spat me off multiple times unitl i found a sequence that worked for me. Full value 25 blue mountains face climbing!

Top Rope Solo lap before bolting. Only 25m long, but great climbing on good rock. 2 stars for THIS crag. The crux is probably grade 24 slab.

Super awesome linkup and extension to Reigning steel. That 2 finger undercling pocket right at the start after the 23 is rad couple with sidepull and crimps, this route is a must do. Awesome. Will be a hard 25 to link up.

3rd shot today (and 1 lap on Top Rope solo previously, before bolting). Struggled with the high humidity on the tiny holds today, almost didn't manage the tick. Squeaked it just before the rain arrived. Would be stupidly popular at Shipley or Porters Pass. Grade 22 face climbing for 15m, then a 5m gr23 techno-crimp section, with a final 5m baffling and bizarre gr24 slab sequence to the anchors. If you're crimping hard on the top crux, you're doing it wrong!

Fell with stupid beta at the crux - pulled straight back on and through to the top before the thunderstorm hit. Excellent climbing, comparable to all the classic mountains routes in the style that I've been on

Just the one Flash attempt after Monty's First Ascent! Probably the best single pitch of all the "newish" routes established by others that I've repeated in the Blueys in the last few years. Immaculate rock, sustained, demanding, technical and terrifically exposed. If this was at Shipley or Porters it would be a Mega Classic (but the whole East Face area has its own "quality" standard, because it's all just THAT good.). 1 fall at the main crux in the bottom 1/3rd, and another at the technical crux in the top 1/3rd on my flash attempt, otherwise clean. I hope I get a chance to come back for the Send, but as it was, after climbing this morning and 7.5 weeks without training/hard climbing, I wasn't sure I could do this 2nd shot today. It's definitely worth the effort to come back for the tick. I will give $1 to anyone who can validly onsight the top Technical crux of this (with the proviso that they climb < 8a).

2nd shot today. Been hanging out to get on this since seconding it few weeks back. This went easily today after working out my beta on the bottom crux. Spectacular route with some of the best rock in the bluies. Possibly my favorite bluies 25. Nearly fell off before the anchor after a massivr lightning strike nearby!

Yep, even after all these years, I still can't do the move to get OUT of the cave. The "conventional" crux is challenging, but not TOO bad for me, but my legs are too long for the normal "kneebar" approach to the cave, and my arms are too short to do the span to the holds out of the cave. Never stuck the sequence once today, despite a fair bit of effort.

A moderate start gets you just pumped enough that the technical crux is quite baffling, After two attempts my beta is still not 100% reliable, and the final move was also mind boggling. Yet still plausible. A good techy project

Came close on the second attempt falling off trying to stand up above the lip. That blind left foothold under the lip is the secret!! The second bolt above the lip is such a sucker clip. Thinking about clipping that before youre through only wastes precious time and energy

Alastair made the roof moves look easy, but on second found them extremely hard. Probably have to try something different (ie get stronger!) on the lip!
