First pitch description should be updated to clearly say you have to traverse right along the hollow flake (as in the guidebook). It’s very tempting to go straight up coz that’s where chalk and clean rock is but it’s tricky and can be dangerous if you fall there. Based on the amount of chalk and comments below - quite a few people make this mistake. Regardless it was not obvious to me at that time that I have to go right towards the black mossy slabs so I bailed and didn’t realise a mistake until reached for the guidebook.

Flashed pitch 1 after my partner got lost on the onsight then lowered, defeated and confused.

Onsighted the rest, what an unbelievable route. So so good. Probably staunch for 19 if you're bad at jams or fall to pieces if it's a bit runout but yeah wow, really really grand climbing in a sublime position. The Hazards delivers again and again.

Got a little lost at the start of the first pitch.

Linked pitch 2+3 on accident. Lots of rope drag because I didn’t extend last piece before traverse.

So classic! Apart from a route finding mishap on first pitch, the whole things was epic! Every pitch was great and unique! 3rd pitch I thought was quite hard at 19, after a fall, I lowered off pull the rope and climbed it again with 3 bits of gear still in the wall.

Just wow - every pitch is unique and amazing in its own way. Led pitch 1 and 3. Top pitch is quite hard for 19 with some truly bizarre off-widthing in the runnel. Well protected the entire way so nothing to worry about. Would 100% do again.

Onsight led the first and second pitch. Seconded the third pitch cleanly. Every pitch has something: from the from riding the flake like a bull on the first pitch to interesting crack and the mad flake on the second then strange shallow chimney stuff and finger jams on the third. Thanks Ewan for geeing me up to lead out across the flake on the second, if it weren't for you I certainly would have had a rest on the gear before finishing the pitch.

A perfect day of insanely good climbing! each pitch was just so amazing and the Hazards are the most stunning setting for a sun-soaked day of climbing! the features and the line felt so unlikely, but climbed so well! the hand traverse on the first pitch was bizarre and the second pitch was definitely the hardest I've worked so far to onsight a climb. desperate and scary! miraculously didnt fall despite a foot slip on the undercling traverse, which was a wild and unforgettable piece of climbing. i couldn't stop smiling belaying in the little shrub because stoke was so high, and the position and climbing was just crazy. Top pitch was greasy and grovelly, and totally different again. Alex totally crushed the lead, and I'm so happy I was able to get up it clean with some funky offwidthing and fingerlockin! What an incredible climb!

What a brilliant day out. Stunning weather, great climbing and well protected. I lead 1st and 3rd. Dan 2nd and 4th. Quality slab climbing in an amazing location. Approach notes: After heading left and down at the boulders, walk along under the Suzuki Complex until you reach a sloping polished slab. Push through some shrubs to drop down a little onto the next ledge. Cairn here. Walk south for 10m or so before pushing down through some more shrubs. Left for 5m to a fixed rope around a rock.

Was gonna go back to star factory but with a lineup for the classics roughly as long as the walk-in we decided to rap into the Hazards Main Cliff instead and had an accidentally terrific day of friction slabbing on amazing granite. The last pitch in particular is about 60° with about one hold on it. Unreal, pure, technical uphill-walking.

wow! what an epic! The position is so unreal, the whole thing felt like a dream. On the approach, the massive slabby face of the hazards main wall completely commands all your attention, and actually being on it is something else entirely. getting to the top of the rap was fairly uneventful, we only got minorly confused a couple times. brought two ropes, so did it in two raps. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the setting was so incredibly atmospheric and inspiring with the streaked granite face and the ocean surging hundreds of metres below. The climbing itself was amazing! First pitch was fun but not super straight forward, getting used to the ouchie granite. The second pitch followed a thin crack (some nice foot jams) and then stepped out left onto some thin slab, with a bit of spice! I was kept pretty tight on second, but did the pitches clean. Its a lot less terrifying when theres a rope above you! There was a tricky section, in my lead of the third pitch to get through a slightly steep part with minimal feet, and I had a little fall and blew the clean ascent. Took me a couple tries to work out the move, but eventually got it and finished the pitch. The friction slab in the 3rd and especially 4th pitches was unlike anything I've ever done before, but I absolutely loved it. it was so flowly and precarious and I was amazed at how the tiny footers were actually holding! it just felt like each move was impossible to pull off and yet somehow we defied gravity and climbed onwards and upwards. Absolutely outrageous climbing in an outrageous position.

phenomenal climbing in an obscene position, took us an hour to find the top where we discovered it was seeping, I got lowered down to the steepest part of the 4th pitch, and deemed it mostly dry and climbable. Alas by the time we'd climbed back up to the 4th pitch the sun had fallen behind the wall where in the shade the seepage had gotten worse and harder to see. On my first real experience on pure friction slab I was met with a dry line about a body widths wide with wet slippery granite either side. With some heart in mouth and shit in pants leading I carefully inched my way up the wall to within eyesight of the anchor where my foot slipped, I whipped and blew the clean ascent. Cant be too disappointed, still a sick day out

Really nice and varied slab climbing. First three pitches could (just) be rapped on an 80m fixed line (send the heaviest person first). Great climbing in an amazing location, with some pretty exposed bits for slab. If this only gets 2 stars in the book I can't wait for the 3 star routes on this wall. Approach was a bitch, spent hours trying to find the track from the ridge to the anchors. After reaching a flat slabby outcrop near the top, sidle right around a large and a very large boulder, down through the bushes, then hard left back up to the ridge. Gain the rocky ridge and head back North to some dome-topped boulders, then hard right down through scrub, hard right again to find the Suzuki complex. Rap anchors are directly below obvious corner, you'll see the fixed static rope used to access them

Such an epic climb. Alex and I got lost on the approach and ended up taking us 2 hours to get there. Once we arrived it started raining so we took a nap in a cave while we tried to not think about how hungry we were and the limited food we had. Finally the rain stopped and we decided it was dry enough to climb. The rappel in was epic, I manage to only have to do 2 one with an 80m fixed line. We got to the start and the psyche was there. The climbing was absolutely incredible. I onsighted both pitches I lead, 3rd pitch had a spicy move and then really enjoyable climbing. The second pitch I managed to get some foot jams in! The fourth pitch was so much fun! Nervous it was going to rain I was speed climbing the last pitch, messed up a foot and slipped off. So annoyed as I'd manage to not fall off the whole climb and was only 2 bolts from the top! Oh well still absolutely MEGA! Friction slab is a new experience and I loved it, kept saying I feel like a mountain goat!

Absolute cracker of a multi: massive thanks and kudos to the developers. You've really opened up an amazing experience. Loved all the pitches and the position above the Tasman sea was all time. Favourite was Pitch 2 with the foot jamming to delicate moves out left to get over the bulge though Pitch 4 was ace too - a spicy intro to feet-only dolerite slab climbing!

Approach and timing beta for others: on Day 1 it took us about 1h10mins to get to the rap anchors (we got smashed by a sudden downpour just after the first abseil and I had to jumar out). We missed the turn-off at the top of the hill but I kept a close eye out for the Bullshit Factor face (it's quite distinctive). I then knew to backtrack maybe 50-75m and found the descent. On Day 2, knowing the way it still took us 50mins to get from car to climb. Took our party of 3 about 5h to climb but 30mins of that was some rope management issues on the abseil!

Fantastic day out! Absolutely amazing views and exposure, and really cool climbing. One of the best “sea cliff” adventure I have experienced. I can see how it could feel hard or scary if 18-20 is your grade though - it can be hard to spot the holds, some runout sections, some sections rely entirely on friction while other parts of the climb can be wet even if it hasn’t rained for days (but still climbable without trouble if careful).

Came a day early to find perfect, sunny weather. Started by walking from sleepy bay up the skyline traverse. Much easier to find if you look for the Suzuki complex.

On the rap down, we discovered that Toby's 60m had shrunk and was actually 50m. After sorting out that shenanigan we continued to the bottom and set up a hanging belay.

p1 - A hard starting move set a fearful mood for the rest of the climb. This was quickly forgotten as the rest of the pitch flowed quickly to the anchor.

p2 - A fun crack which ended in a very tricky bulge section, apparently 21??

p3 - Nice balance on small holds, really lovely climbing.

p4 - The true slab experience.

Really good. I found this much harder than 18, even for Freycinet. Getting through the bolts was highly engaging. Crack was great. Good gear throughout. Rapped off bolts at Full Sail.

A fun arvo out! Not as intimidating as I expected, but every pitch had it’s crux! Muddled up the sequence on P2, but somehow made it through unscathed. Was amazed I made it clean up the chipped pane of glass the comprised the top of P4. Great climb, well bolted

Absolutely bullshit approach. Spent three hours walking back and forth on top of the hazards before we found it. After we found it my partner didn't want to climb anymore. I abseiled on 2x 60m ropes to the bottom of the third pitch without issue and then ascended back up. Terrible day out.

Round two, actually climbing it. Discovered how terrifying it is to clip and then haul rope while friction slabbing with no positive handholds or feet. Amazing climb, absolutely fantastic view, and just the most delicate friction slabbing at the top you could imagine. There were a few moments where I thought I was gone but I forced myself to just stand up and push through it. This route can be easily done with one 60m rope, no idea why the guidebook says what it does, there's no 35m pitch. I think Gerry might have been thinking about 50m ropes while writing the book. I abseiled to the bottom with two big abseils (using twin ropes) without any problems, noting that the midpoint never failed to pass the next set of anchors, and had heaps of rope left.

A couple of moves to get started followed by very pleasant slabbing and a great belay ledge.

Foot jammy fun time! Bit tricky to establish in the crack.

Some nice moves followed by more lovely slab. Many foot trusting moments, the friction on this granite made me so happy!

This one was just so fun. Trust in feet has significantly improved now. Had a bit of a moment when my foot started cramping two thirds of the way up but managed some speed slab and didn't fall.

This route was one of my most satisfying days of climbing yet. We had perfect conditions up on the hazards and the climbing was fantastic! The detailed approach description was helpful and we found the chains with minimal hassle (there are also coordinates in the guide book). Bolting is also pretty perfect with some spice preserved but all the hard bits very well protected.

Got to the crux of p2 and it started to rain so bailed from there. First time climbing at hazards, found mixture smooth water eroded slabs and very coarse crystalline Rock a bit weird, tape up. Will be back although it didn't initially seem like a 3 star but might improve. Great scenery

Not too bad. A number 4 or 5 camalot is handy for the second pitch. We traversed right to the belay of the usual suspects and rapped from there to save the killer walk off.

Great second pitch. Climbed in the howling wind which added to the ambience. A #5 cam is very useful.

Definitely deserves more traffic. Awesome traverse pitch that would be worth five stars if it wasn't so mossy. Still felt a bit heady even with the two retrobolts. It would have been pretty bold in its original form. We had planned to rap down but took one look at the shitty twigs with slings on them and decided to climb two more pitches to the top instead. Topped out and rapped down Winning Streaks.

We thought it was winning streak, did it just sports and top belay the lowest pitch. Bit of a holly shit moment abseiling down to the lowest pitch and looking around to see no bolts in sight.3rd pitch had a solid 10m+ unbolted runout along a walk up cracked bulkhead along the slab (good placement if you have some bigger cams) Stunning views. Seems like it was very easy for it's grade
