Ascents in Glasshouse Mountains as Pink point

This was a fun first pitch. Sketchy when wet.

Much easier than I remember it when I first did it ages ago. Only did the first pitch, as we'd already done LOC earlier.

First pitch only. Warmup

2nd shot. Downclimbed Maponus p1, leaned across to first bolt and climbed from there. This is the route's second ascent.

Worth going up for. Awesome position at the top. Take the time to look around while you are climbing this gem!!!

Well I blew my onsight getting from the 1st bolt to the 2nd, then took 3 more falls at the crux: getting up past the 3rd bolt, before I finally nailed the sequence. I left my gear in for Marcus who took 4 falls at the crux & bailed, then I just had to do it again, if nothing else to retrieve my gear. Some very thin & balancy moves make this a nice lead on well placed RBs. The 70% humiditiy didn't help matters, we were both totally saturated in sweat at the end of the day.

A stonker of a trad line!

Whipped on the crux of P1 and broke a fragile flake that was wedged into some dirt. Cleaned up the dirt and loose rock and it opened up into a small hand crack… which probably make P1s crux a bit easier?

Sent P1 comfortably on 2nd tie in with gear/beta knowledge and without the pressure of trying to onsight.

P1 only, linked into the HB variant.

Pre placed gear for a pink point, didn't use the crack for jamming though...

This is a fantastic beginner's lead. Dale climbed up it as his second ever trad lead and placed around 10 pieces of gear. I went up after him and placed the rest of our rack - 23 pieces in total I believe (if stacked nuts count as 2).

What a pitch! More than enough spots to shake away the arms and most of your physical fatigue, but I found it hard to focus on shaking the mental fatigue. Super technical, and a lot of care is needed when placing your feet. An incredible pitch of climbing that exceeds the reinforcement of most of the holds, in my opinion.

It's up there for the best single pitch sport route in QLD! Very technical and beta intensive but some good rests along the way if you get creative. Some bad rock but the climbing quality overrules all this. Amazing adventure!

You'd be pressed to find a better climb at the grade. This thing has epic corner stems, overhangs, minging crimps and delicate face climbing in some of the best positions you'll find the Glass House. Send train with Dan Kozianski

4th shot, I know the crag well! Doesn't climb like a serial link up, highly recommended!
