Ascents in South East by Matt Schimke

Super unique climbing. Second bolt is a little scary to clip, but apart from that its well bolted. Did not figure out crux but I am keen to get back with some new beta. PUMPY!

Two shots today. First one I managed to figure out the crux and work the moves to the top and felt pretty optimistic about the next shot. The following shot I climbed from the ground up until the forth bolt but didn't go for the clip, was madly pumped. Could barely manage to bolt to bolt after this as I was so fatigued haha

A few shots. Climbed clean from the jug before the crux right through to the end which was encouraging. Don’t know when I’ll get back to finish this one.

Had a good onsight attempt of the start and damn near got it first go. Legit has a hard move at every single bolt. Could not figure out the last crux from the tooth. That tooth might need some reinforcement as without it I am not sure it'll be climbable.

Climbs really well! Bit spooky between second and third bolt but you just have to go for it and the fall is fine and it is well bolted. Complicated and confusing crux with a lot of options. (2)

Thoroughly enjoyed this little gem. Very unique for Queensland. A few of the bolts are a little hard to clip but apart from that it flows pretty well.

Climbed TOS and decided to continue up this. I liked it! Technical.

Top is great as everyone has said. Bottom two bolts are good fun too! Be mindful on the runout after the third.

First shot was in the blazing sun and I had no idea where I was going. Bolt to bolt. Found it pretty hard! Second shot was better, but still felt unfit and pumped at the top. 5 months with no outdoor climbing will do that (2)

Two shots. All moves down.....just. Haha. Some of the hardest moves I have ever pulled.

3 more shots. Best shot was getting to the fourth, making the hard clip and then falling off going to the gaston as I wary of my shoulder.

3 more shots. Good links, but still so far off.

Crappy conditions, damp rock. Still did an okay link, starting from the two crimps below the crux and going to the anchor clean. Now just need some energy and good conditions.

3 shots. Linked it to the crux on one go, from there to the top. Will go next session.

Had 5 shots. Always getting to the crux but just not getting my footwork right to get in position. Still had a great time and worked it out.

another five shots. Fell on last hard move 4 times in a row!!

Awesome!! Not my style, so happy to get. (18).

Had it second shot but a foot hold broke on the topout. Quite nice (3)

Super happy to onsight this one, read the sequence well and took it one move at a time.

Happy with the OS. Felt pretty goey the whole way.

A little scary in parts, and maybe a tad hard for the grade? Enjoyed the top.

Actually climbs nicely.

Ascended via Logans. 2hrs 20mins. My legs will ache for days.

Descended via South-East. Jelly legs.

Nice left trending line. Way longer than I thought it would be. Getting to anchor was a little confusing, I did a low traverse into the corner to get to it.

Sharp warmup! Probably a bit much for a warm up.

First shot today after putting the draws on. I found a great way to pull the crux using a little side pull a little further right of the sloper undercling everyone else uses. The send ended up going really easily and arrives at the anchor feeling really fresh. Great line on nice rock! (3)

Cool climb! Had a good onsight attempt, fell just before shield. Went well on second go although I still need a few more days to get used to steep climbing again and the sharpness of this place (2)

Fell off going for the wrong hold on the mantle, pretty lame of me haha. Redeemed myself second go though, felt nice and cruisy. I really enjoyed this one. (2)

Nice warm up! It's hard so see where to go, making it interesting for sure!

A little too sharp and not continuous enough to be anything too good. Still fun though!
