Fantastic weirdness for 2m, then a crux move that is very difficult to work out ground up (take a stick clip). Then it's all over at half-height

Stick clipped the first, and finished 2m above the last bolt then lowered off the maillon (having just done Downwind of Angels). Great hard techy flake climbing

Incredible climb! We got our rope and tagline stuck completely on the rap, make sure you shuffle the knot past the edge when you go over if using doubles. I think a 60m rope will make the top of the block on stretch.

Excellent first pitch, yep very Taipanesque, and with good bolts. Had to belay just over the lip due to drag in the roof crack (I should extend things a bit more). The upper pitches have some good weird steep moves on big holds, but cruxier and with lower quality rock. We got to the ground by the base of Icarus in one ~60m rap

Pitch 1 is an excellent, almost-sport arete. Pitch 2 is a bit more trad, with great techy face, a little committing to gain the second bolt.

In two pitches. Small wires useful down low, and double cams for the rest.

Great slabby arete, two ropes would be handy: The bolts are on the wrong side of the arete for the conventional start up Free For All.

More crimps and Grampians-ey sloper jugs than the promised buckets. The bolts look a bit odd; the bottoms of the hangers are hanging away from the wall.

Lead pitch 2 and 4. A great adventure with variable rock, good corner cracks on pitch 1 and 2, a head-jamming roof crack on pitch 3, and an impressive traverse on pitch 4. A #4 is useful for pitch 1 (and maybe a #6). Take a head torch and explore the deep hole down into the cliff at the 2nd belay, what's down there?!!

Lead 2 and 4. Not the mega classic that Flying Buttress is, but certainly memorable. Some of the scariest walking I've done on pitch 2; on Moonarie's pitch-length Magic Block.
