First few bolts shared with Oeil de Biche, then goes right and up forever. I was "off" in about 5 places and managed to somehow get through with a combination of blind luck, rogue kneebars and when all else failed, dynoing. Soooo good.

Biggest fight of this trip so far. Full body tufa wrestling. 1,000,000 kneebars. Would not have been pretty to watch. FA gave it 7c+ in 2016, and gets 7c+ in the Panjika guide, but 7c in the Aris guide. Probably sits somewhere in the middle, who cares, epic line reminiscent of Kalymnos Panorama sector.

Hardest thing I've done since ruining my shoulder. Felt pretty good - I think the rehab is working. Route was cool - very thin crimping start to a rest ledge. Then an overhanging crimp ladder for about 6 bolts. I just held it together.

Complete horizontal ceiling of stalactites for what felt like an eternity, really about 15m. Full contact grappling. Ab's were slaughtered, only to be further slaughtered by epic food poisoning that night. YAY!

Well this is odd. When I climbed this route (2008) there was no anchor, just a mess of tat and rubbish. I fell, not knowing where the anchor was. Now (2011) an actual anchor has been placed, a metre lower than the pseudo anchor where I fell. So this dog now magically morphs into an onsight. Yay me.

"mate, you chose one heavy-weight sand-bag for your last climb. That deadly move with the desperate clip was the hardest single move i've done yet at K. Harder than any of the moves on the 7C's i tried! Upon closer inspection i think a hold has fallen off it. Yeah i had to rest a few times but somehow got all the moves. It was still pretty burly higher up. Honestly i'm sure that climb deserves at least 7c! Good lead mate!" [This is 7a+ in the guide]

Super big fight. Did this crazy mantle to find ... no holds. Nothing. Was pawing on the rock like Stevie Wonder searching for the remote. Don't know how I managed to stay on. Replaced the anchor as well, which will shortly be going on climbkalymnos.com's new route maintenance database I built for them.

Nearly megaclassic due to the amazing dripping candlewax tufa pipes. You only see this on a few, rare routes on this planet. As for the climbing, a bit glassy and slippery, and hard to read. I fought super hard, throwing out my back in the process. Worth it.

End of day "what's left in the tank" shot. I think every hold on this extension was a pocket. Pretty damn cool. I ran out of draws and had an ~8m runout to the anchor. Lowered off right on dusk.

The biggest baddest tufa you can see from miles away. Imposing! Soooo frustrating it has a line of bolts up either side of it (with both 'routes' climbing the same moves!). Would be completely classic otherwise.
