Ascents in Kazbek peak having Beta

Retreat at 4800m (under the inter-peak col) due to wind and desire to keep all toes I started with. Sprained an ankle at about 4000 jumping over a crevasse, didn't slow me down much but I lost feeling in that foot's toes at 4600, couldn't fix except with chemical heaters. Rest of the team didn't particularily feel like suffering for 2 extra hours in -25C windchill either.

Route is in pretty good condition otherwise, crevasses on the glacier but nothing dramatic, thin snow layer (bit thicker higher up, but nothing risky-looking - centimeters, not tens of centimeters). Should be great next week after the cold front passes
