Large space, lots of overhang, neo-style

First outdoor V3! But with a branch dab because of the tree placement. (Hard to go around it)

Tough tough tough right crimp at the top. But genuinely feel possible. Need work on finger strength.

Led on trad gear. E2/3 5c.

Poorly Protected Trad

First send of a 6b+ on lead. 🤩

Had to circumnavigate the damp start which makes it substantially easier, but the jugs were wonderful.

Nice two lines running up two very jammable cracks.

Very nice climb with 3 friends

Just the first pitch in my hiking boots - the scramble to the terrace was a little too sketchy for us.

Fun chill climbing with no tedious rappells at the end. Time your climb for a beautiful sunset on the peak!

Nice warm up. Still wet but you can work around it.

These slabs always get me with their rockovers. Unfortunately quite wet, especially at the top! Dry enough to get that COG over an uncomfortable card hold and finish it off though.

Hard crux down low. It is at least a hard E1.

The exiciting crux move is at the last platform-ly overhang

3 star start with a silly ending. why wouldn't it end at the top of the crack?

The other website says it is the right line of bolts. I couldn't do any of the first 4 bolts! Either it is sandbagged or I am doing the beta all wrong.

It is a sports route. The crux is way more thuggy if you are short. Very nice.

Good 4b crux, really exposed hand traverse, well protected

An epic when I didn't know how to make trad anchors, got lost, in the rain...ran out of gear. LOL

The HVS 5b crux is sandbagged or old school grading. If it was a sports climb, I would give it a 6b+/6c. However the day I tried was after a week of rain so the crack was quite wet. Still! The crux pitch is much harder and burlier than the subsequent 5a pitched.

Bolting is too far for me

Only did P1 but thought it was great-- technical crimpy and powerful moves up a gentle overhang. Would come back for this and P2 looks great as well. First bolt is mega high though so stick clip would be a good idea (or warm up on P1 of Austrian and hang draws coming down).

First pitch was very pumpy for grade, bit of a surprise. Also some iffy bolts on P2 (and what looks like a massive dagger of death about halfway, be careful of laybacking this thing!) but fun crack climb to the top with some nice views. Ran out of time and didn't get to try, but mixing P1 of Austrian with P2 of Tigger (6b+) looks like a good ticket as well. Probably, being my first trip to the top of Lion Rock after many HK climbing sessions expectations a bit too high...

Led all, w/ Ray. With Fai's group, really fun day. (not pure O/S, but mostly)

I lead 2nd half of first pitch then matt lead 2nd then I did 3rd and 4th pitch

Very nice to do in the morning shade. Bring 15 draws.

Felt hard for the grade, especially the layback/jam on P2. Great fun, and well-bolted with a recent glue-in retro.
