Much better than I was expecting

Contrived.

My taste has clearly changed. Did this 20 yrs ago and thought it average. It was the best route we did today.

Better than route to left

Very old school grade, very mossy and second bolt looks suss. Despite this it is an interesting climb that deserves a re bolt. Best to continue up hand crack above ledge ( past dead tree ) to cartwheeling mid anchors.

Nice long route, the rock on the ledge is obvious to avoid

Less crux than the two right of it, soa better lead for our friend

The engineering job on the shaking flake is a bit scary. Would have best been trundled or wall left alone.

Really nice moves. The “New” guidebook isn’t very good for this area.

A little ledge, Harding start

Definitely not the best 16 trad route in the mountains, but one of the easier for the grade. Would be a 12 in the Watagans.

Another corner, slightly steeper than it appears

Second ascent. Nice looking line. Lots of bolts.

The crux is tough, at least as hard as the routes to the right. Couldn’t see the plant the climb is named after

Hard start if short, nice climbing after that

The climb after the second big fern fizzles out, just step to arête

The crack is ok but felt contrived going to arête, rock needs a bit more hammering

Great climb at the grade, nice ironstone

Despite doing these in approach shoes not a massive amount came off, though we climbed carefully

Rpt, more sustained than the 17 and more interesting

Nice enough, the start is definitely the hardest part

A decade I did this I think, but have no recollection. Went up putting draws on so I could put some long slings on NIB. A super nice route.

Rpt, less classic now, either I have got fussy or am missing the scare factor of the old bolts

Never sure whether watching Dave helps me at all, but nice to have the draws on. Put in a bit more gear up top

9th route of day. Ran out of daylight. Weird rebolt.

Started up direct start to NP (needs a #3 cam) then GGMM past 4 bolts to traverse to arête and up. Despite rest ledges, still pretty pumpy.

About grade 23 if you are 167cm and would be a dyno if shorter

A good move or two. Take bolt plates
