Ascensioni in Ebor Gorge come Red point o First free ascent

Good jams, stemming and roof. Still quite mossy. Would reccomend top out anchors and a bit of a scrub

Rolled in late feeling flat but summoned the courage to get back on this. First attempt went way smoother than last week but I ended up dripping blood on Alec and taking a mini whipper at the crux. Regrouped, retaped and tried again and somehow managed to sort the beta out enroute and get through the crux section by the finest of margins. It was all only just in the end and definitely one of my more memorable sends. Right up there with the best routes in Ebor.

Super good! Top roped first to suss the gear at the top, then sent on the second go!

Had a brief mini tantrum after discovering my harness was ... not present. Textbook hand jams, a delightful warmup.

Really nice and naturally clean

Wow. Deliverance certainly can't produce two spectacularly good routes right next to each other can it...? Aparently so. Sick find Skippy! Got it clean on TR, then followed up with a clean lead on gear which Skippy reckons took me close to an hour...(surely not?!). A delicate techy start complete with an unsuspecting wild finish.

Had a fall before giving it another go. Second attempt was better. Great climbing and a very burly finish. Classic!

Good option to get from top to bottom (or vice versa).

Still found this to be awkward climbing in places.

A climb with a view...except that you're facing the wrong way. Likely pretty wet most of the year but is currently dry and was well worth the extra farmers friends.

Seconded Ben with a few rests. The first strenuous fingery layback moves from the ground - and getting established immediately afterwards seemed harder than 22. Based on the principle that a climb shouldn't be given a grade easier than its hardest move, I'd take that into account.

Seconded Carol on this with a few rests, I accept that I'm a bit long in the tooth for this sort of thing but but it seemed much harder than 21 to me. Possibly no individual moves harder than 22 but string them together (with nothing between which qualifies as a real rest) and take into account the technical nature of the moves... and you've got yourself a 23. OK that's my two bob's worth... Comments anyone?

Was great to get back on this route with Ricardo after nearly a year between visits.

Great little climb until the end and then a gross dirty scramble to the top. Crack gloves felt perfect

Wow, this was challenging. I managed to get up it on my second attempt, but only just. It has a bit of everything.

Straightforward with modern pro. One star.

Cruisy lead, loose block scared the hell out of me even though I knew it was there

Absolutely filthy climb (in the dirty sense). Got up it clean after 1) decking and 2) breaking off a useful undercling. The face climbs much cleaner now, but fairly techy.

A hard start, but once established nice climbing in the bottom section before the not-so-pretty top.

Took a few attempts to unlock the shallow dirty top section, but well worth it.

not a fan of the bolt placements.

Tricky start, but another classy Ebor crack. Still nice and clean from Carol's Epic a couple of years back.

Gradually tapers down until a lunge for the top.

Nice little number.

Easy way of getting in and out of the second breakaway area, Super easy, maybe a little wet and slippery if it has been raining, much more awkward when wearing a backpack or carrying a bag.
