Ascensioni in Tāmaki-makau-rau / Auckland come Attempt

fun climb, pumped out and fell off the top arete

Sandbagged myself choosing this for a warm up Just pulled through when I couldn't remember how to do the reachy move since we only had a couple of hours before dark.

Very cryptic boulder problem that I came relatively close to solving, but alas, time was short. Reminiscent of Steaming Wally at Kangaroo Point, the other dingy urban quarry crag I’m familiar with.

Feels pretty hard for a 23, the holds are degrading so may be making it harder lol.

This climb was mega scary, and way harder than 17. Also might be missing bolt six. We couldn’t find it, even on the repel.

Mistook this for JEM. Crux feels hard for its grade.

Looks easy in the videos but actually not easy

Two attempts on the project, completed the top, but that crux move still escapes me. Did manage to stand up on crappy hold and grab the left hand crimp (right hand on the two finger half pad) but then couldn't move the feet up, and couldn't repeat it.

Feels very hard for a 23. Very thin handholds and almost non-existent feet.

Pulled through the lower crux, but completed the rest of it.

Last climb of the day, bailed at 3rd bolt, too tired to go up.

Working beta for the move after the sidepull. Struggling to find the right position to move to the compression section at 2nd bolt

Gave it a good go but my foot jam slipped near the top

climbed to the third bolt. Too tired to continute. Tried to climb stright up from 1st to 2nd bolt but failed, end up pulled the chain to go up.

Clipped all bolts but then used the wrong feet for the crossover from gaston crimp to the triangle hold.

High point. Clipped all the bolts but didn't get the top layback hold very well and fell.

Quite the challenge. I had the wrong shoes for the route so I will come back with the right ones and try again for sure.

Attempt at repeat. Forgot how the lower crux went.
