Ascensioni in Bush Wall

Took some brainstorming to figure the beta out. Almost got it 2nd shot but slipped off the techy crux boulder. Should go any shot.

Interesting sequences. Got just past thrmird bolt and fell on the onsight. Felt sore after so didn't try again.

Red point! Very happy with this despite a scrappy send with a couple of slips. I I worked out a better final sequence at the break. Could easily rest out right before clipping the anchor. Stoked

High point. Got to the break but then dropped it trying to remember the final moves One hang.

Had a play on top rope. Could get up to the crux easily, and held the crux move once.

High point! Climbed clean to 5th (and last) bolt. Then went for the break but didn't latch it. I have done all of the hard moves from the ground now. The new foot beta from bolt 4 to bolt 5 went super smoothly. One hang and then to the top where the heel hook to clip the anchor was also very good. I have no excuse now as I have everything dialed. Just need to rest and come back.

Putting the gear up.

Took a big fall just below the anchor. Super mossy and dirty and quite a long way from the last bolt. My belayer was not happy that I am 20kg heavier!

Really nice movement. Got most of the moves down on this first tie-in but grabbed a couple of draws.

First go of the day. Sixth go overall. Didn't go through the first section smoothly enough and then didn't latch the clipping hold for the third bolt. Top feels a lot easier now that I am familiar with it.

Send train! Watched Alex Popinga send it and then did the same myself. Seventh go overall. Went through the crimpy first part as fast as I could and found I had way more left for the top. It always seems so much more cruisy on the send Nice way to finish the year.

Fun sequence of moves, especially the triple sidepull (double bump!) action to 2nd bolt. Cruised it today - glad I'm over whatever was kicking my ass when we first flew down here (low iron maybe?)

Fun sequence of moves on crimps (some naughty and some nice), sidepulls, a sloper-pinch, and a jug for anchor clipping. Really fun footwork needed ♡ I was super low power though Couldn't quite muster the juice to send

Second go of the day, fourth overall. One hang. Did the whole thing in two overlapping links.

Cleaning the gear off. It seems I only have two good goes a day on something that is this crimpy

Just trying out the moves. Extremely dirty at the top and I had to traverse over to the top of Skin Test to find a cleaner path to the anchor on this first tie in. Spent a lot of time brushing and revealing holds before coming down.

Climbed it clean to the second bolt and clipped. Then hang-dogged to the top. This time I found a much better direct finish off a nice undercling. The first half of the route seems quite easy for me. The second half has good holds on the left hand and bad holds on the right. I don't like it as much, because it requires bigger moves and the weight is less well distributed across all the limbs. But the route should go when I am fresh as long as I don't have to clean it all over again

Flash attempt. Came off very small right crimp in crux. Then to the top pretty easily.

Redpoint. #2ndGo I still screwed up the sequence for second clip but somehow managed to one-finger match to correct it.

We ran to Bush Wall to avoid the devastating heat of the late afternoon/evening lol. Fun little boulder problem on crimps, a big ole undercling, sidepull and a pinch. Easy flake/crack jugs to top

Tried to onsight this. But after clipping the second bolt on very dirty holds I realised it wouldn't be possible for me without a very thorough clean. I cheated my way to the top and started trying to clean it but I didn't have my wire brush so it proved pretty fruitless. Oh well!

hard for 23, especially to onsight
