almost got it the first time without slapping the arete somehow but couldn't commit. Gave it a few good goes to figure out the boulder problem. Good fun!

Not a good choice of warm up.

Loved the technical crimps at the bottom. Had more trouble with the campus and layback sections with bad feet. Looking forward to trying it again.

Interesting climbing to the first bolt followed by some nice face climbing to a powerful boulder move on sharp crimps guarding the chains. Looking forward to trying this with fresh skin.

Hung on the crux move.

Been over a year since I last attempted it and oh did it show. Managed the first 4 bolts with ease but couldn't remember the beta from 4th to 5th nor the 5th bolt clipping beta. The bottom bolder also felt remarkably harder, makes me wonder if some holds flakes off.

Sequence intensive face climbing on positive holds. Only 3 bolts on 40' of climbing with potential ledge falls makes for some spicey moves down low. Be careful on the move to the second bolt. Third bolt is where the route earns its name. Tricky onsight.

Fell again after the 5th bolt. The sharpness of the holds makes the condition of your skin a relevant factor. The Butcher will make you bleed.

One fall after the 5th bolt. Split my tips but it was worth it.

Had to take at the delicate Crux move. Feet are extremely challenging. Only did the first pitch.

Don't remember how far we got - either two or three pitches - before running out of time.

Second lap was less than stellar. Slipped on wet patch while smearing up to a crimp.

The layback is a solid workout. Nearly made it past the vertical when my foot slipped.

Pumped out on the horn just as I got the crux cam in.

Awesome moves once you figure out the beta. Reminded me of pancake flake on The Nose!.

Finger jam/under cling roof section is tricky. Def. want to be a solid 5.8 leader before attempting this one. The fall would be quite nasty.

Nice climb. My first time on Looking Glass slab. Can def. get a little hairy on some moves. Blew a shotty tri-cam placement on the crux of the 2nd pitch. Nice fall. 3rd pitch off the belay is heady and committing.

Only managed the first pitch. Cold NC granite is nothing to play with. Looking forward to coming back and getting this one clean.

Such an awesome climb, tricky mantle.

Hardest trad to date, found the crux very difficult with my fat fingers.

Got mixed up at the bottom. Had to rest on a stopper while i figured out where I was going. Climbed the rest clean.

One take. Super super cold. Fingers were completely numb.
