攀登 in Janicepts Area as Flash

Great lead by Nicole and then i had a dash with the gear still in.

A fantastic line that is definitely in the shadow of its big brother around the corner, The Janicepts.

Usually I'm a jamming fiend but I power lay-backed the heck out of this! Beautiful, steep, corner crack goodness.

Surprised you don’t hear more about this route. Really good layback with some very marginal stances to place gear. Pumpy.

Felt harder than Snappy Dresser...

Cool Climb, though pretty stiff for the grade.

A blue mountains trad classic. I wasn't really expecting to lead this, but sometimes it just happens. Gear was in up to the 3/4 height facey crux section. I'd like to go back and do it sometime putting all the gear in.

Gear was already placed, which made it quite a bit easier! Was surprised to find there is very little actual jamming involved on this. No hard moves, just sustained.

A proper battle, the jams are all there, just finding them through the pump is the challenge however 2 no hand knee bars definitely helped. The initial wide bit was super awkward, however, this route easily earns the mega classic rating!

Intense with a few OK rests. Awesome sustained climbing

four months after belaying hayden on his "punt of a lifetime", finally came back for the flash. piddo tried to shut us down again with a messy catch on the plunge (our first climb of the day), but mira's top notch first aid skills had me good to go again. felt like I managed to keep the horrorshow memories out of my head, and just appreciate the climb for the beautiful, varied crack that it is. was also awesome to have the whole crew around, and mira next to me on amen corner. couldn't be happier!

A line I'll never forget. A hybrid of both pure jamming and techy face moves - and it's steeper than you think. Great gear and brilliant moves, I'm amazed that this was first climbed in 1966!

Blasted through the jamming sequence to the "rest", surprisingly pumped, I tried to regain some dexterity. Stepping out from the alcove the next few moves are elegant and incredibly 'droppable'. Pull through and negotiated the slopey top-out.

Two grades above my hardest ever trad! Very stoked

Great beta from Matt, fun to climb on some gear again! May have gotten me frothy for some more time at frog this season...

Hadn't been on it apart from aiding it about 9 years ago, so calling it a flash 🙂

My first-time crack climbing, and this climb did not disappoint! I might have to learn how to place gear so I can lead it next time

Very cold hands

Classy corner crack, with a bit of fun groveling. Very old school. For those wanting to protect the off-width, a #6 BD camalot will fit- barely. I had some internet beta, so can't claim an on-sight.

Bloody brilliant old school.climbing. A slightly tipped out #6 can protect the bottom of the offwidth (but it would still be a fair whip to fall).

Did as a warm up and to get my head into gear for Janicepts. Exciting with nothing larger than a #4!

Fun jamming and stemming! Base of the off-width can be protected with a 6.

Really nice. Almost had an epic when Claire rapped down to find one end of the rope 3m off the ground. Got her to rap into the knot then lower herself with the other end

The most comfortable offwidth I've felt.
