攀登 in Bondi

Very nice climbing in a rattling chimney

crsp. lead it but don't fall!

Quite a heart starter at the crux with a few committing moves beforehand. Excellent climb with a bit of height. Fantastic for a sydney climb. Good holds, solid rock and not overly sandy. Will certainly be doing this one again!

Lead this many years ago.

Bottom 2 metres get harder each time there is an ascent (read rotten rock)

If you go north to south, you might explore a number of sketchy ledges until they thin out. Maybe you'll try to clip some barnacled chains, but they'll disintegrate in your hands...

If you start at the Bondi end, it's obvious when to rope up and where to go.

We went south to north this time, which makes route finding super easy. Spicy rock quality. Only one pitch you'll want to rope up for, the rest is a pleasant scramble.

Coming from Bondi, there's one short pitch you'd like to rope up for. Bring nuts, and full rack of cams. The only double I found I might want is a 4 cam for later in the traverse. Not the most amazing rock, but definitely a fun day out.

(Second pitch was 5m across a wet ledge after the first escape gully)

fun first outdoor climbing, very easy and sandy. Tide doesn't seem to be as important as wave height, we stayed dry at low tide 1-3ft swell. Communication got really hard with the ocean noise

Once the traverse was over it was OK. Hoiked on first draw to reach hold to start
