攀登 in Northern End having 攀爬攻略

An enjoyable climb. Decided on starting on the protruding pinch as opposed to the edge alongside as it was the more obvious/lower/easier hold. Also sent from the edge and made it maybe half a grade harder?

This climb ended up being quite technical, which made it all the more satisfying to sit on top of!

A full day of shut downs, this was the highlight - nice to have a left and right heel hook beta. It’s very awkward out of the cave.

Based on only photo of this boulder, from May 2020, holds have fallen off? (Starting flake particularly on main routes) Updated grades probably necessary. Someone that will crush a V6 let me know.

How deep on top jugs can you go? Maybe i made it harder for myself than necessary.

Feels like sit start is too low, especially for starting foot in beta? Send was a sit start on two pads to get off the ground with feet on the wall.

Tried moves. Very hard! The tension you need on this rig is insane! Super classic.

Avoiding the jugs just above the described holds is a bit pointless. Eliminate!

An enjoyable traverse.

Found a low LH on a bomber pinch hold that makes this already hard problem harder and adds to the enjoyment. The loose rail left was not used as I didn't really trust it. Instead a small positive edge at the bottom of a long edge was used. Overall a classic line on really good rock.

Nice warm up line with average feet makes this a solid V1.

Best established line on the boulder.
