攀登 in Mġarr ix-Xini having 攀爬攻略

A very nice climb but definitely not a 7a

Fab climb, more complex than the neighbouring supposed “7a”. Watch out the difficult exit from the hole. Slabby and delicate with high bolt

Lovely route with a fun arête, a wee overhang and a slabby finish

Probably a bit easier. Nice route though.

Direct version. Straight up to the jugs. Absolutely epic route.

Loose bolts at the start. Getting up to the first bolt is tricky and very bouldery.

On two places there are ropes instead of bolts, so it was a bit scarry

Pumped on the crux and fell.

Flash pumped… clipped the last bolt and fell while trying to reach the anchor

Noch ne neue Beta an der crux probiert, richtig dumm 😂 zum Glück noch genug Power für den sensationellen Zug gehabt.

Mental gewaltige Aufgabe.

Richtig schwer zum clippen beim dritten Haken, ansonsten auch sehr geil und oben komplett anderer style.

Last 3 bolts are tough. This route is constantly 6a+, crux moves probably a bit harder though

What is this 'endurance' thing you talk about? Probably could have done it had I been more rested and not messed up the start boulder...

Probably harder than 4+ when climbed directly over the last bolt.

The Crux is a mantle in the middle of the route

Bolt number 4 could me moved around by hand, so a scary retreat...

Wasn't sure if I had to go over the ledge, so I retreated and had a good look at the guide...

Went over the ledge, there were some good holds.

Got more pumped than I would've expected in that grade, but still very nice.

Super awesome, I liked that one the best in this sector.

2nd Go

I came back here today to tick these 2 7bs and i would have but i broke a crucial intermediate at the top crux and flew a long way on the first go. Then i was too tired to pull the moves on the second.

I belayed Vanessa on this the other day, so its a flash. Another great pockety line!

Sweet sendage on the first shot today! Great way to finish the trip.

Going back to Spooky Cave in the morning (we fly out at 14:40) for Vanessa to have one last effort on the mega roof! I might even have a crack myself, why not?!!

Every route i have done here has been just awesome! This was no exception. Did it a second time to clean it.
