Combined P2 and 3, with the wandering it's probably closer to 40/45m. P4 is the best beginner lead on the climb with great pro, fun climbing and a simple belay.

Giving this ascent a 10 as did the last pitch in the dark. Always bring a headtorch. That lesson only needs to be learned once. First time leading the majority of a big multipitch, learned heaps. Good experience.

Didn't follow the route exactly, pitch one as normal, pitch two and three linked together but rather than heading to the right arete cave for pitch 3 I went straight up to the left arete cave as it offered shade from the afternoon sun. From the left cave belay headed back out right onto the face and finished as per normal. Great route, great protection.

linked pitches 2 and 3 which worked well as my partner did a good job of extending the pieces at the start of pitch 2 where it wanders a bit. Rope drag was really not a problem.

All of this is amazing! I guess "Arapiles 9", anywhere else would be a few grades more than 9, but it's pretty straightforward climbing. Pitches 3 and 4 are epic!

Mega classic imo. Possibly the most fun I've had on a grade 9! I led all but pitch 2. Superb climbing the whole way. Pitch 4 was indeed exhilarating. Lots of horizontal placements that gobbled up my totem cams.
