Successful onsight simul (for me, Sam had done it before) with Sam. We left the carpark at 5pm and were back down just after 9. Probably about 3 hours on the route including Apron Strings. Sam led the whole way and I haphazardly followed trying to remember how to climb on granite. We simuled through Apron Strings to the top of the split pillar in one pitch , pitched out the 5.11s, and then simuled to the top. Not a bad afternoon after trying Tainted Love in the morning. Shenanigans.

Fantastic route. One of the best cracks in Squamish. it starts out as tips and ends as an off-width. Resist the urge to layback the crux. Ring locks make it way less pumpy.

Saved this climb for my last climb in Squamish. This climb has it all, from techie slabs, finger cracks, lay backs, hand jams, run outs, under cling traverses, bolt ladders. You name it, it has it. Slipped off Split Pillar and took a screamer on the sword pitch. Wouldn’t have wanted a better partner to do this with. Cheers John. And to the rest of the parties on this route on this day 👊

I pulled on on more bolt then was legal. Hahah We'll come back soon, and lead opposite pitches. 4 very classic pitches, some of the best exposure I've gotten out here.

Malamute plans ditched post carpark rack up on a whim. Ethans 8th time up this route so he wanted to speed climb it. I found myself simul climbing some pretty legit 5.10 with some pretty legit loops out but nothing too insane. Every pitch is quite different. Almost put my back out on the layback flake pitch up top. Never had back problems before, id imagine this might be an issue for many people. Amazing way of getting up the chiffa for the first time. Post climb fist bump rightfully waited till after the traverse across the very exposed bellygoode ledge.

Clean- apart from the aid sections and a pull on the bolt on Perry's traverse whose "reachy move" is indeed out of reach. Our 5 am wake up saw us first on route ( at 630) but were soon pursued by 2 teams

Challenging and heady (though not too bad for me cos I was seconding lol). Good potential to fall straight onto the belay from the word go. Thin and technical through the bottom until you turn the roof and nail the hand jams. Like a hard version of Blazing Saddles. Andrew did quite well (1 hang) until the crack widened up at the top. Then his tiny little limbs and digits were consumed by it. It's probably no harder than 5.10- OW though. Likely the hardest move is about .11+ (V3 boulder problem) but linking it all together for 40m of enduro gives it a fair grade of .12- if you ask me.

This is an awesome classic right through the middle of the Chief. Seconded all pitches, topping out though the upper Black Dyke. First on the wall, nice cloud cover. Following Andre Ilke of West Coast Mountain Guides as I was in town lonely and equipmentless. One fall on the top of Split pillar, and a used a couple of those nice metallic footholds on Perry's Traverse.

A great route although not the best to do on a long weekend after long period of rain. It was a total zoo. Luckily we got an early start and went quickly. Watched a guy take a 10m fall into a slabby corner on the first pitch. not a good start for them. Ouch!!
