Ascents in Echelon Wall

all pitches need a good clean, dug out the majority of placements. the 10d pitch really needs a scrub as its a wet slab of moss currently.

Pitch 4 was still wet. gave every pitch a good nuttoolin to help clean out the winters gunk.

Has a few enjoyable pitches interspersed with a lot of pretty ordinary ones, making it seem like the aim is just to get to the top, not climb great rock. Guide book gives it 10b, but I'd say 10a considering the first and last pitches.

Great fun. 10b hand traverse as final pitch.

Super fun route! pretty mellow and relatively clean, almost every pitch was enjoyable.

Not as good as people say it is. Too many ledges and walks. Kind of like cragging your way up the Chief. The last pitch is a .10b traversing crack which might be a new addition to the route since the publication of the guide.

What a great route - just stupendous. Only shadowed by the crowds - at least 6 other parties on it that day, head to toe. 5.9? oldschool - it was stiff

Long route, mostly bolted. Would have enjoyed more if it was trad.
