Mt. Hunter 14,570feet (4,441m) is located just south of Denali and the mountain closest to the "airstrip" and base camp on the southeast fork of the Kahiltna glacier. The impressive north butress is clearly seen from base camp. It is the most difficult 14,000ft mountain of North America. The location of the mountain makes any ascent a serious glacier and high mountain undertaking.
