Ascents by Ryan Holmes having Distinct route

Got to the bottom and realised I didn't have a small enough cam for the start, so ended up placing some gear off abseil in the crack at ~4m to protective start. Awesome rock. The top half is incredible at a much easier grade.

Nice. Epiced a bit cleaning it getting a rope stuck in a crack...

Whoop! What a route! Super psyched on the style and the lessons it taught me. Given the history it was always a dream route. Quite the mental battle in the end. This trip (my 3rd on the route) I managed to pretty quickly cruise up to and through the birdbath. But I fell 9 times above the birdbath!, mostly trying to match hands after getting my foot on it. Tough to match this route as a lesson in technique and flow, especially the top half. Thanks to Marie for the many patient belays and to Will Monks for working it with me last trip.

A fun flash attempt with beta from Will Currie and about half the gear pre-placed with a stick from the slab. Got through the crux but melted going off those two ear holds. Awesome line and rock!

Beautiful rock on the first half. Not sure the roof is as good as the photos make it seem. And the lip was wet!

I didn't think this was so great... 1st pitch only.

Pretty fun. Mostly OS - just had a bit of beta for the first few meters from watching some guys trying Masada the week before. Is that bolt in the middle neccessary? - I felt it detracted from the route a bit. P1 only.

Nice but hard Crux section. One fall here. The rest ain't so good...

Nice climbing and much better rock than Cornerstone. 2 pitches. Hard to get too but worth it for the peak bagging

Good fun. Did it in 4 long pitches. The rock on the third pitch locked sketchy as from below but turned out to be alright. Nice position. The descent through Green Glacier was pretty cool too.

Really cool! Nice to climb some cracks. Pre-placed gear flash-send train with Dave Hoyle. Probs because neither of us wanted to fall on his dodge-as gear
