Begehungen in Engelhardsberg als Onsight

Up along the crack, onto the slab, and then straight into the pumpy overhang. Great sequences and an exciting finish.

Awkward start, strange bolts in the first half. The upper half is really good face climbing. Hard to read, no chalk at all on the holds. Nice crossover move at the end.

Slightly left of the bolt in the overhang, easier than directly to the sling.

Arrived here at about 8 pm after a hike through Oswaldhöhle; it rained all the way, but the rock was dry and there was still enough sunlight in this part of the crag to climb. Definitely worth it although the first bolt is quite high (the sling before it doesn't really help). After reaching relative safety, there's sustained climbing on pockets with homogenous difficulties. I found the anchor hard to clip. Seems like this one is almost never climbed, no chalk on a single hold and quite dusty. A true onsight! ;-)

Marvellous climb with incredible pockets. No bolts in the first half, only a fuzzy sling (but in a solid rock tunnel) after 6 or 7 meters. Bring nuts and/or friends.

High quality rock, very rough and solid. The first bolt is very high, with a bad drop zone, so be careful. The most difficult part is between second and third bolt, the finish was a bit contrived.

Similar to "R8b", with one or two longer moves in the middle.

Quite sustained on pockets, often a bit shallow. Easier after the little bulge. Nice #warmup.

The technical crux is after the first bolt, the upper part is a sustained pocketfest protected by fixed slings in rock tunnels. Brilliant climbing.

Really long, interesting and beautiful. Solid in the grade! The view from the top is indeed gorgeous, even on a cloudy day.

Good #warmup, crux. is to get your feet up in the steep dihedral. Not too easy for the grade.
