I take back what I said before, this climb is more muscular than Tannin and does deserve to be a 20, or is at least physically harder than Tannin. Bailed off Wraith to this, remembering that it was "easy", but I could not deal with the thuggy jugs when I was so tired. Whipped off the roof with my tail between my legs. Not complicated but you do have to be strong, or at least fresh.
Took a mega 10m whip from above the the roof after crucify out getting my foot unstuck from behind a flake. Luckily totems aren’t aloud to rip. Great catch Tommathy swift
Not quite as classy as Tannin but the roof sure was fun and committing. Seems to be mixed opinions as to whether this counts as an onsight having done Tannin already, but I don't think flash or redpoint make sense and I've onsighted every piece of climbing on the route so I'm claiming it
One of my absolute favorite climbs, enjoyed the precise and delicate traverse across under the roof. Finished with a twist on the top with slabby, crimpy moves under the right of the bolts.
Pretty sweet. Was expecting it to not be so good. Did it on Yasha's gear.
Can anyone tell me though, why there are five bolts at the top of Hornpiece? There are two abseil bolts, with chains, and three extra rings for no apparent reason. Seems a little absurd.
Absolutely fantastic route. Haven't done the original but I think I'll try to tick this first, strong moves through the roof and lovelytechnical climbing down low.
