Ascents in Memory Lane as various tick types

I was very silly and placed both my no. 2s in the first third of the climb, got to the last 10m had to go down at a couple points and retrieve gear. Was a shame because I felt like I was really in the flow! There were also some creative placements when I was still going for the onsight, including some questionable stacked nuts...

Too powered out, too much high stepping, the sun was just at the wrong angle and casting shadows on footholds, I'm scared of trad gear, didn't eat enough lasagne. Epic

Not the easiest warm up

Had to pull through the Boulder 🫣🫠 the rest was divine!

No more excuses for not leading it, thanks to Jake's peer pressure. The start of the climb is as hard as i remember it, i wish I could call this a redpoint but unfortunately i sat on the nut at the start after so many attempts, so bloody hard to pull through the initial move. The rest of the climb was a series of screams 'I'm pumped' and 'i may fall' but incredibly pull through every move.

woah. another cosmic route i have looked at numerous times, thought about, got scared, needed to poop, pooped, came back, and decided to go home. so i cast my silly ethics aside and tried some headpointing! its so fun! makes the send attempt waaaaay less stressful. was also good to see there is good gear in the flake, carrots at cruxes, and easier climbing where it seems run out. today was a dream come true trying to put this together!

If its your grade/above, have a plan to stick clip the bolt plate, and draw before the awkward start. Second bolt to the top was nice!

Needed to figure out the crux so I hung for a bit. The rest went! Very cool!

Couldn’t do the crux but loved the rest of the climb. I get why it’s only 2 stars but I give it 3

Couldn’t make it past the turn of the lip

I didn´t find the beta of the boulder problem on the beginning... one foot in barefoot

I climbed with one barefoot because I kick a rock with my little finger... hard roof, maybe I didn´t find the right beta...

Another dog on this so many years later. I just couldn't get that first move this time, bugger! The rest went clean, but no time for another attempt. Super hot in the sun too, even though it's just September. Ah, I touched the crack on the route to the right higher up — will try to remember not to do that next time.

Fun, rested on the bolt pulling around the roof, arms were lead!

Didn't have enough cams in the size needed, so lowered to the ground to get more. Then toproped back up and finished the lead. Would be ok with 4 #2 camalots, or comfy with 5.

poor strategy and headspace

hadn't flown with my rack so attempted to lead on single cams + extra #2 + WC hexes, and retreated at 3/4 height. turns out I would have had placements in horizontal breaks, but I didn't know that

Engaging and insecure bottom went ok despite feeling desperate, but that final lip spanked me

Had to stop several times to figure it out. Let down by terrible jamming technique and general out of shape-ness. Attempted it twice but had to move on as the sun hit the cliff and turned the crag into a sauna. Will be back!

Felt much harder then some 24s I’ve pulled on, traverse is burly but the thin face on bolt plates makes it much harder than it should be. Maybe it’s just my beta that’s the issue though.
