Tcharkuldu is a camping and rest area just off the Eyre Highway in South Australia. It is famous for Tcharkuldu Rock, which is a granite rock formation just off the highway.
Accessible by car via the Eyre Highway.
The surrounding area is a large park which allows camping (suitable for tents/campers/caravans). It has a gas BBQ with seating, the "Outback Dunny" toilet, and a small shack with a fireplace. There is also accommodation in the nearby towns
The first climbers to visit and develop these boulders were Freddy Dyer, Simon Dyer, Mike Dickson et al. in 2008. A PDF guide was published for the area. Most of the problems uploaded after this have already been done. Kelly T will update as soon as possible.
Did you know that you can create an account to record, track and share your climbing ascents? Thousands of climbers are already doing this.
