Summary

Very popular conglomerate climbing area near Briancon. Because it's shady, it's well suited for summer.

Description

  • With kids: There are only a few flat spots beneath the routes, mostly it‘s a little slopy and not suitable for really small kids.

Access issues inherited from France

Some privately owned climbing areas may have restricted access. Check with https://www.ffme.fr/

Approach

The parking space is basically located on top of the crag (44.6689, 6.6429). From there follow the small path down to the crag, starting at the fountain at the eastern part of the parking area. Always keep left to reach the first sector 'Canyon' in less than 5 minutes.

Where to stay

There are various camping grounds nearby.

Ethic inherited from France

Park where indicated, take care of the environment, buy the local guidebook when possible (this is one of the ways you can help local route setters), clean up your shoes before climbing, don't spray beta, be polite.
