A handful of cliffs in the idyllic Schwarzwassertal-valley. Mostly solid Gneis with routes up to 60 m.
Description
The Katzenstein area consists of 6 climbing rocks with a height of up to 60 metres. The rock is partly fragile, so you should wear a helmet. There are few bolts and rings. Friends, clamping wedges and loops are absolutely necessary.
Due to the long climbing paths and the noisy river, communication between the climber and the belayer is usually difficult. The use of optical signs and signals for communication is recommended.

Parking is best on the large hiking car park at the Bergschänke. Descend on the "Karrenweg" to the Nonnenfelsen.
