Ascents in Italy as Onsight by Lee Cujes

Super psyched! Best route I have done here so far. Long, blobs, kneebars, roof. Big runouts.

Deepest and steepest in the cave. Lots of stalactites with a punchy boulder finish.

Rock quality to the max. Reminded me of the rock on the left side of Thaiwand Wall.

This was pretty awesome. Big pockets up a steep wall of marble.

Mostly fairly easy, until suddenly it's not and you're waaaay runout. 15m falls maybe? Lots of air up there.

Perfect onsight route - very readable. Steep and fairly juggy. E got some good photos.

Super tufa roof into amazing headwall. 18 clips.

The first half of this up to the point where it gets hard is mega classic. Beautiful marble.

Some tricky slab stuff down low and then graciously relents into steeper tufa pulling thank god.

Very short crimpy balancy crux out of character with the rest of the route which is a super nice romp.

Slippery tufa outing, much loved at this easy access sector. Felt nails.

This is probably the King Line of the cliff. Mighty blob and tufa pitch. Don't grab the anchor Bianca.

Maybe the best looking route I've seen in Val Pennavaire. Fairly blowing chunks on the onsight, lucky to come away with it.

Super onsight! Almost Ceuse-like!

Polished, but awesome slopes and long moves.

Primo rock quality. A couple of hard pulls on tiny pockets. Should finish 10m lower before it climbs into coral.

This was hard! Or I was tired! Or both! Great though.

8a.nu confirms low onsight percentage on this one! Aptly named.

The mono is NOT the hard bit!

First day, so everything felt hard. This one felt desperate!

The crag of sidepulls! Such a crazy wall.

Whoa Nelly! This was brutal. Brick pumped with weird crux on quarter pad edges. 7a? lol! Onsight limit!

Far better than it looks. Super good with mostly big holds and interesting sequences. A good one if you're looking for a 7a project that is actually close to 7a.

The warm up eh? Nearly finished me.

Tricksy slabbing on super rock. Hard crux reach off a tiny undercling crimp.

Huge chimney-cleft. Wild overhung moves to exit onto the headwall, then crux pawing on prickle-slopers.

I only barely, BARELY stuck the lower mono move. Pretty impressed with the Mrs

Every hold a big pocket. Just super!

Very good. Well worth doing, but not an easy romp.

Sustained, blocky, roofy bit. Almost fell off.

Excellent! Steep and thuggy, relenting to a nice face.

40m long fin/cave/wierdness. Chossy, yet spectacular!

Total Thailand classic! Tufas galore and wacky moves.

Maybe the best quality rock I have ever climbed on, Verdon included. Hard and devious slab crux which Sam could almost, almost do.

A wandering, 40m adventure pitch. Good bits and crappy bits. Worth doing.

Just like 'Equatorial' in Thailand. Classic. Was 7a, and you know, it might be.

It's just not great. But when everything else is damp...

Tricky move down low. Amazing rock in the upper half.

That's what you get when you have to pay $119 AUS for a 20 minute taxi ride.

A bit of everything. Wet up high.

Hardest 6b+ in the world!

Deviates big time to follow the line of least resistance, so much so you end up skipping a bolt. A 10m extension on perfect amazing tufa blobs is crying out to be done.

This tufa line is significantly harder than Melchiorre. I would probably give it 6c+ or 7a. I think something has broken up top.
