The approach to the beach described here is through private property. It is open all year round but in summer the owner demands 3 euros to pass. Owner claims the cave itself is in his property and may limit winter access by closing the gate off-season. There exist other approaches to the beach, through the "300 gradini" beach access about 100m in the direction of Sperlonga (closed in winter).
Take a parking bay at the main road between Sperlonga and Gaeta as soon as you can see the sign "Ultima spiagga". Next to the parking bay some steep steps lead down to the beach. It is private and during the high season the owners raise a fee of 3,00 EUR for using it. Reaching the beach the sector Approdo dei proci is to the right, Grotta dell' Aerenauta to the left. To get to the grotto don't enter the beach but keep immediately left after leaving the private property. Follow a small path over a sandy and grassy hill that is leading directly to the cave.
