Took me longer to send than anticipated; I fell repeatedly on the final deadpoint move. A glorious, aesthetic, comfortable line straight up the streak of white rock which first catches the eye when one enters the valley. Redpointed in the morning, with loads of stoke and a generous early belay.

Basically a hard boulder after a short easy start. Took me several attempts but still think that it is soft for the grade. Might be way harder for people woth shorter reach though

Another one where if you know where you’re going and which holds to use feels solid. First go felt stiff. Lots of pockets and a sustained crux through 3 draws. Can easily go too right/off route.

Probably 18 tries within two weeks before new year, then one month off due to nagging finger. Sent 3rd go of first day back on. Don‘t use the jugs at the anchor of special forces to rest and enjoy the pump!

I Have been taking a lot of rest days from Mon General. It started to get really mental. I wanted to cry every time anyone mentioned Mon General. I wanted to cry every time I saw anyone struggling with their own climbs/projects. I don't know where this sadness came from. The process of projecting was so painful and I did not want to climb anything else then Mon General. Climbing had lost its fun. Today after lunch, we went to Hilton to just see if I could practice the moves on lead and if I could, I'd put on a top rope for Anne. Right before the climb, Alec put his hand on my shoulder and told me that I should cry now if I wanted to. As soon as he said that I started crying. Then I went on climbing. I got to the 6th bolt and clipped. And then the next bolt. And then the crux was over. I kept my emotions together and took my time with the rest of the route. I did not want to fall. When I got to the anchor I felt so light. SO HAPPY that I finally did it. Mon General was my first "real project". I enjoyed the process even if it was 90% painful. The rewarding feeling was just amazing. I look forward to do it again. But now, I really feel like resting, maybe just climb easy routes, maybe a break from climbing and just go freediving. Projecting is the best way to practice mental strength. It's about failing and feeling shitty 90% of the time. But it is still so worth it. I feel stronger and I want to be even stronger. So happy and thankful for all the friends I've made so far on this trip. I am enjoying every moment of it!
