Ascents in Cyprus

Getting polished. Over loved.

Warm up in the sun.

Definitely red point grades. First shot I spooged off the pocket. Second shot resorted to using a razor blade edge… I still have fingers though. The ground is mud and brambles with rocks sticking up. Sit start does not look appealing. Feels like a 7b start with a 5a middle to finish.

Not sure how solid the first big flake is, on the right, but it held today….

Mostly dry.

Still raining but as we could actually climb it… got on the sharp end. Feels a lot easier than our warm up.

Started raining so top roped it… but it actually stays dry. (Your belayer doesn’t….)

Everywhere else was wet. This is slightly overhanging so still dry after yesterdays rain. Hard to onsight but, like all the warmups here… easy second shot.

Very good but also very raining. Got away with it with the other two climbs but not so much this line. Something to come back for when dry and overcast. In sun most of day

Harder than the 6c when half of your holds are wet and slimy. Hard start!

Waterfall in the middle made this feel a lot harder than it should. It was dripping when we arrived. Dried a little during the day

Easier than the other two 6’s that go to this anchor. It is dry though…

End of day hiding from the sun. It’s climbing to the 5th bolt then a run out scramble.
