Ascents in Balık

Didn’t have time to figure out the move from the hole to the left broken tufa, felt really hard for the grade and maybe need a right heel hook. The remainder of the climb is absolutely bomber on great holds with perfect kneebars. It’s not over till it’s over!

Decent warmup

Can't believe I sent this. First 7c+ (??). It has been so much fun to work out all the beta. Lukey taught me to use a knot on the sling to put in a pocket and that helped me direct the extended crux draw so I can reach it to clip!! I also changed the beta to crimping the outside of the pocket. I'm glad!! I feel like I have done something 😎

Fun. This one went quicker then the other two 8s at this crag.

Found two good kneebars on this but needed a third one for the send - thanks Heidixe for envisioning the kneebar and insisting I try it 🙏

Imo slightly harder then its neighbour 'Ucan Balik'

Figured out all the move this time, but on the last go trying to link the crux I felt something in my hand tearing on that big pocket while I try to chip. It was probably too cold to be trying this hard

Don't think I can try this again this trip but hopefully the injury isn't too bad .

Very cool moves. A team effort combining Heidixe's beta with a sneaky knee bar for the send.

Felt nice it was a way warmer day i could actually feel my hands!

Very intense sequence drop knee to some core intensive ban-door-y crimpy moves. Kept falling off top...super windy and icy.
