hard for the grade

Stayed in the centre.

Actually led this the other day, thinking I was on suspension

Took the direct finish (severe)

Variation on the route climbed a little harder.

Looked improbable for the grade, but everything is there when you need it. Protection, holds, you name it, you can find it.

Definitely harder than second corner. Slippery up high.

5b on rockfax.

It's 5c on rock fax.

HVS variation. Fell in the middle, then finished clean.

VS variation. Slipped at the opening moves.

Actually felt easier than double chock stone

Loved the climb, but it felt insecure in the chimney.

Good views. Climbing actually felt a little contrived - even though you're obviously going up the arete you used it, then didn't, repeatedly for the length of the route.

A very sharp introduction to Portland stone. Fell at the crux because (I'm too weak) and my fingers are tough enough for the pointy rock. A nice climb, but awful belay spot when it's muddy.

Bring a cam for a ground anchor to hang your bags!!

Hung and fell all over this. Didn't feel like it deserved this many stars, especially not the "last of the summer wine" variation getting three stars. Awful crumbling belay ledge made it even less fun.

Got confused at the routes; thought we were on an E1, and thought it was remarkably easy.

Fell once at the crux.
