Hard crux after pulling some tufas. Slight kneebar with the right leg, then cross with the right hand into a very sharp crimp, then keep up the body tension and pull up with the left hand into a one- to two-finger pocket (I could only get my pinky and ring finger in), put the feet up and slap up with the left onto a sloper and then further to the right into a painful pocket (the deeper in the better). The rest is easier in beautiful white limestone.

Pulled through the crux up to the painful pocket and slipped out … :-(

This thing is an abolute classic steep climb. Had a couple of plays, working out some beta. Hopefully it will stay dry with the impending rain this week and i can try to send it.

Very cool route, almost felt like Franconian limestone. ;-) Small pockets, a nice dynamic move into a huge jug, then a delicate sequence into two good slit-like pockets and a slightly overhanging finish with a good hook around the edge.

Very cool start, but couldn't find a way to do the crux. Pulled on the quickdraw and finished the rest, which is also quite nice. Lots of bird droppings on the ledge after the overhang, though.

Worked out the crux section after the third bolt after falling there.

Forgot to clip the third quickdraw, so I had to jump off in the middle of the crux …

Fell in the crux section with too much pump …

Again, the crux section killed me. Forgot to put my left foot around the corner to stabilise the move into the two-finger pocket. Bummer.

Wow! This is possibly best roof I have had the pleasure of climbing. I´m lacking a bit of fitness and mental game at the moment but i´ll be back on the weekend to have a go at tickiing this beast off.

Another working lap, at te end of the day. I did much better on it than before but i need to be on it fresh. Its such a long roof, which means it is a real pumper!

2 and a half more laps, with better linkage and some better beta (which Vanessa came up with), but I feel like this is either hard for the grade or i just simply don´t have any fitness at the moment...(probably the latter)

Couple of working laps. This thing is short but the climbing is awesome! Very bouldery. Let down only by the second bolt being a little low, as for me, i need to climb past the 3rd to clip and that puts you dangerously close to the ground when you fall (as i found out). Coming back with heavier belayer so i can hopefully push past that fear.

Pretty close to an onsight but forgot a crucial intermediate at the top on the second and fell at the same point. Some sharp holds but the climbing is awesome. Pity about the shitty placed bolts at the second bolt and the last bolt before the runout to the anchor...both are potential biner snappers! Also the finish is pretty runout and hard, so you don't want to fall on that last one. A long sling from the anchor to protect yourselfwill help until someone fixes it one day....

Tried for an EOD flash but the fingers were well hurting by this stage and this has some harsh rock in parts. Great climbing again, on a variety of holds. Felt easier than BC next to it, so i will come back on my last day here (Wednesday) and try to do both of them!

Just had a burn while Vanessa was trying to send. Got a highpoint though.

I came back here today to tick these 2 7bs and i would have but i broke a crucial intermediate at the top crux and flew a long way on the first go. Then i was too tired to pull the moves on the second.

The Crux is a mantle in the middle of the route

a lot of Pigeon shit in the Route, take care of them flying out of the holes aswell

Almost finished the route and got a huge whipper in the last meter to the top. Touched the backwall with my ass and finally know why the route is called this way - but I felt just pain, no pleasure.

I'm not sure if the holds in the cave count. But anyways a nice athletic route
