Ugly start

Led the climb, but from last obvious stance below the anchor I could not reach the top rail; the (only) downside of being 5 foot tall. Clip-sticked the anchor, so that makes it a top rope. After that found some sketchy beta on the arete to get my hands on the top rail. Awesome climb though, deserving of its two stars. Get on it, but bring longer arms and legs.

Thought this was actually an ok climb. Nice to practise climbing on carrots; we don't get that a lot in Queensland.

Warmup. Maybe a bit runout when climbed as a pure sport climb, but all holds are very secure.

Great little arete.

Slimpers and slopers + 36deg heat: yum!

I took a full rack of wild country friends and a #6 nut up this one.

Do yourself a favour and stick clip the first bolt! Spicy for the grade.

Clean rock and easy

Relatively clean and relatively good pro passed.

Think I went too far left up an appalling series of deeply-lichened smears, side-pulls and super-highstep laybacks. Definitely no bolts seen but could have been hidden under the dense mats of orchids and lichen. Leave this one to nature.

Not much gear on this. Only piece I was happy with was just above the last bolt. Also, what's up with the two bolts at the bottom?

Had me pumped, carrots scare me

Old school tradventure: first piece at 5m, dirt, lichen, ledges, exrensions, and topout blocked by dead tree so traveresed left to Winter Slab anchors where conducted a semi-hanging belay.

Crook as the proverbial .. dirty ledges, ants, bad pro (half the cam lobes in dirt, etc.) and a well-charcoaled tree belay. Not technically hard, but hardly deeply rewarding. Then had to walk off in a shower, and it wasn't even Furtwängler :-( Definitely goodbye, Mr Jones.

Straight up the crack, such as it is, and over the top.

Tricky changes of direction at the top, failed to avoid stemming intonother side of chimney.

Layed away on the right all the way.

Crappy gritty slopes etcetera.

Quite strenuous with the laybacking. Tough to find good feet in the small crack

Started a bit right of the block. Nice protection.

After landmines

Couldn't pull the move between the 1st and 2nd but gonna be a proj for sure. this is my idea of climbing

First outdoor climb in the blue mountains. Taters! 7 degrees with a 'feels like of -2

Seems contrived to stay just on the left of the Arete, also unfortunately didn't really use the crack feature

Nice but insecure moves up the arete, tough at the grade. After dogging the lead i just top roped to clean

Dropped the flash at the anchor...sigh. Then found some nice beta finishing up the arete, only to make a meal of the lower bit on my second go. Skin of the teeth stuff because I guess why not hey. Not a bad introduction as we begin our study of the dark art.

Great route! Super techy

Hard start for the grade, no doubt getting harder as the ground at the base erodes. Pleasant and easy after the start.

Struggled. Really only went up to to get the gear after Myles smashed his shin. My fingers are F*&$*ed

Fun climbing all the way. Nice wire placement between first and second hange for traverse. Good cam placement between second and third hanger. Great moves to finish.

Sustained and nice climbing however it’s tough for the grade with a fiddly cam placement. Not the one to do unless you’re climbing a few grades harder.
