Second day on it and happy to unlock the beta for the second crux. Feels possible now! Wasn't super psyched and didn't wanna commit to the last headwall before reaching the anchor. Keen for some proper attempts next time

Climb 17 of 51. A really great climb that deserves more traffic, though was more run out than I remember. The top half of the 2nd pitch is stellar.

Mike's first time in Icehouse. Thoroughly enjoyable

Had to do some minor cleaning. But a quality route

First lead climb practice run outdoors on our own. Very easy one but anchor was awkward for the first rundown.

Softer 18 than Gravitational equilibrium.

Best route on the cliff. One part was quite reachy and my partner struggled with that move a little. Otherwise a few ‘mantly’ moves which was fun. Big ledges to stand on for the anchor too.

Figuring out the beta, happy with high point to 2nd last bolt. Final crux is mega

Climb 14 of 51. Has a couple of nice moves, but the rest is kind of awkward and not fun. Felt harder than a 12.

Climb 13 of 51. I love this climb so much.

Super fun classic ngungun ledgey pocketed climbing. We scrambled up the gully. Thought it could be nice if there is an anchor here for the belayer. The next 35m are a hidden gem - easier and shorter than icehouse but just as featured and fun. Very achievable lead for a max 16 lead climber. Don't bother with bringing gear there's no placements. The runout is comfortable, if a bit exposed. As with the warning, the left bolt of the top anchor is loose, it's still okay but in need of an upgrade. The carabiner master point is rusted so we built our own anchor, and rapped through two of the upper links. To descend the gully we chucked the rope around the tree and down climbed with a prussik around the rope juuuuuust in case. Easily became one of my favourites in the area, especially with the added adventure.

Climb 1 of 51 - The Trad Challenge. Can't remember if I climbed this back in the day. Can't recommend this climb unless you're looking for an easy introduction to adventure climbing. Anyway, got the ball rolling on the trad challlenge.
