Begehungen in Townsville als Attempt

Couple goes. Still flipping hard, need stiff, edgy shoes for it.

Broke the RH starting hold. Still goes as a massive crimp pinch. Tough, good on ya Kaspa

Three sessions, six days. Rain and finger skin were the limiting factors. By the end of the third session I felt I could pull individual moves pretty confidently, but linking more than two moves in a row felt impossible because the pain would become too much to ignore. Ouch! It's hard to convince your brain to pull as hard as you can (or close to it) when doing so causes agony. As soon as this became frustrating it was time to call it quits.

Pretty psyched to end it knowing something of this difficulty is within my capability. Big confidence boost, keen to visit again this year if possible and get the send.

Found it very hard to establish with the left hand and did a jump start and topped out

Did all the moves except the second one, which feels incredibly close. Holds stayed impressively dry, but my shoes (and bum) did not. A nice day with some UQ friends, was interesting to have an audience. Pity about the weather and poor overlapping of our trip schedules. Keen for more attempts on this rig. Think it'll go if I can have a few sessions on it with good conditions.

Actually managed some moves this time! Starting to make sense. Got the first four-ish hand moves, yet to reach the upper half. Big.

top ropped approximately 3/4 of the route as the top anchors weren't reached on the previous lead attempt, cool climb. Keen to lead in the future

Attempted at high tide with moat of water at base. Got two-thirds up then chickened out for fear of slipping in wet shoes
