Ascents in North West by Alex Doyle

This should be a 3 star route. Slab 1st pitch into a finger/hand crack 2nd pitch that becomes a steming corner. Then overhanging jug hauling for the 3rd. Full value bottom to top!!

Linked the crux a number of times making me feel ready for a lead burn. But then fumbled it on my last attempt(just forgot the sequence). In saying that the second half of the runout I've got every time I've tried it so that should be sweet as long as I'm fresh.

Solo to access Delerium for a top rope.

Went for a send attempt, fumbled the .4 placememt before the crux and couldn't reach the trigger. By the time I had fixed it I had worn through my power... tried to recover off the decent jam but just pumped out on the LH jam in the crux. Tried again from the ground and made it no further... aided through the crux and then cruised the top even being pretty jacked.

Went for a sunrise solo because I happened to be awake early. Must have been a bit tired because some moves felt more commiting then they should have at grade13. Kept the brain under control though so I'd call that a win.

Projecting with Chris Speer. Sorted some functional but heinous jam beta through the crux, involved placing a pink dmm nut mid crux off the first finger lock.

Can easily climb all the route but the crux which is so powerful that I only have a few burns until it's impossible.

Worked through some doubt about gear and my technique on the onsite and made it 3 moves from the victory jugs. Had a little top rope then nailed the red point, not a bit of energy wasted.

Beautiful line with good gear, facing a potential deck if you bugger up the last moves of the run out. Belayer should be ready to jump off ledge to take in slack.

Its a bit of a mission to pre rig a fixed line to rope solo on, big S bend and overhung.

Maybe one more session then I'll hopefully be ready for a lead.

Used it as an access to set a top rope on Delerium Tremens.

Super fun short route, tension heavy big moves for a tall dude. Climbs like a boulder route but definatly worth a raz.

Ive got to come back and sort more efficient beta.

Punted off the first hand crack unexpectedly... glad we stick cliped the nut.

I Hang dogged the first time, then Erika had a top rope then a red point burn. She lowered just on the crux so i top roped to there and continued on leading to the top.

Classic old thrutch fest that's easier once you've peaced it together.

Little after dark climb with the head torch. Felt superb, it's a little intricate after the cave.

Fun little crack after oceanoid. Can't not when it's right there. Took a practice fall from the top, keeping me confident about my gear.

First pitch had a sick cross over to get through the roof. The traverse on the second pitch is the money though. Although you do get to cut loose on jugs at the final lip if you want. It's all soon good!!!

Linked last 2 pitches, felt like pleasure climbing racing the dying light.

Access for scorpion, great little warm up.

God damn what a fine line. Pre racked a nut from the ground that helped with the low crux. Very 3D climbing... you've got to keep your head on a swivel.

Pretty spicy with a single rope, ground falls from 5m up are not ideal. Should have read the crag first 😆
