Candelario is one of Spain's bouldering hot-spots. With multiple areas at different altitudes it is a major bouldering location for Spain if not the world and offers outstanding bouldering year round.
Description
The town of Candelario is located on the western foothills of the Sierra de Gredos. It is a beautiful town in a beautiful natural environment and home to an endless agglomeration of blocks with thousands of problems in all grades. The main areas are Hoya Moros, La Dehesa, Agua Dulce and La Muela.
History
Bouldering started in this area as early as the 1990's.
