Red Rocks: 19 routes Thanks to the very sculpted sandstone of Red rocks, it is possible to climb routes on very steep cliffs at quite moderate grade. The protections are good and quite easy to place.
Trad 6a grade is required

Zion: 8 routes In Zion, the routes are often more demanding both in terms of difficulty and climbing style.

This digital guidebook presents a selection of 13 multi-pitch routes taken from the book Rock around the World. The Tsaranoro Massif is one of the most famous multi-pitch climbing destination in the southern hemisphere. On these clean-cut imposing vertical walls, most of the routes are bolted.

This digital guidebook presents a selection of 26 multi-pitch routes taken from the book Rock around the World. Almost all of the routes presented are trad.  Of course, this style of climbing on trad gear requires us to be modest about route choices, but do not fear, the rock lends itself well to gear placements, especially along its beautiful, long crack systems. Other equally interesting routes, more in a mountaineering style, focus on route-finding rather than pure difficulty. These follow more or less along the lines of the famous Bedouin routes. These ‘extreme adventure treks’ discovered by the locals are the most aesthetic way, and undoubtedly the only true way, to explore the area. It presents a large selection of climbing routes in the Calanques including sports crags and many sectors of multi-pitch routes. It was designed respecting several criteria: provide a description of the Calanques that is as thorough as possible, meet climbers’ expectations and preferences, and arouse interest in all types of climbing. The routes are drawn on photos, the accesses are described precisely and are illustrated with maps. Finally, for each cliff, approach time is indicated as well as the length of rope required, aspect, number of routes, the average difficulty, and the range of grades. This guidebook is published by the CT FFME of the Bouches du Rhône. It participates directly to the maintenance of the crags in the region.

This bilingual English/French guidebook is the digital version of the guidebook Escalade autour de Gap.
