West facing seaside climbing, may not be possible at high tide with northerly winds. Walk to base. May need to replace abseil sling, at rap point, 30 m to ground.

West facing crag, morning shade ( despite what guide book says)

Restricciones

In full view of north cave lookout. Do not climb near North Cave.

Acceso

Continue along overgrown track post the lookout platform turn off and tunnel through bush to the cove. It is not possible to access the cliff at high tide if there is any swell, eg persistent north or north easterly winds.

• The operation and use of drones by park visitors on reserved land including national parks is not permitted

• Peregrine Falcons nest from July - December each year. It’s important that climbers don’t climb near active nests during this period. Known sites (non exhaustive) are: Sand River (Far East, The Panopticon), Bare Rock (R of the Boneyard, L of Bisso of Orange), Rocky Cape, Pubic Wall/Duck Reach, Hillwood, Gunners Quoin, Lowdina.

• Please note that Tasmania has notoriously patchy phone reception for particular service providers. Telstra is the most reliable. An emergency Personal Locator Beacon or similar is recommended kit when climbing in remote locations.

  1. Diagonally up through obvious wide crack

  2. As for Zorro

  3. Continue diagonally right through roof

  1. Climb left leaning crack of Zorro to the intersection of cracks. Up and a bit left, climbing between Seven and Jamboree. Continue up Ent and belay at trees.

  2. Continue up easy terrain to summit.

Descent: Sling boulder on summit & rappel 20m to summit of Zorro, then rappel fixed slings 28m to ground.

  1. Traverse L on gentle ramp to belay

  2. Traverse R up crack/ramp, round corner to belay (2nd large poo stain and slings)

  3. Up through roof on L then directly to easy territory. Slings to rap (30m) are ~5m to R.
