线路 in Mpumalanga for selected grade

At the bottom of the gully is a free-standing tower. This mini alpine route starts in the slot to the right past a tree. Ubolts lead rightwards up the stepped slab to anchors on the higher summit. Some closely spaced bolts protect each step.

The lefthand route with a shallow open book in the upper section. Finish up a short crack.

Start 5m right of 'Angular', off a small block deep in the chimney. Diagonally left out of the cleft and up to the anchors. The direct start (2 separate bolts) submits to some grunty technique at about 15 [**].

At a lower level than the 8m gully, about 40m around to the left. Climb the corner crack with classic (traddy!) moves.

Shares the 1st 3 bolts with 'Arielle'. Climb up left on the right hand edge of the nice-looking smooth face to anchors on the left wall at 3/4 height, about 8m right of 'The Huffing Warthog'.

12 [20D] The extension of 'Max' along '1000000' (lower than DOUBT) traversing the whole slab to finish at the top of the arete at 'Kaj' anchors. Very cruisy so you can stop many times to admire the view onto the great red walls under the farmhouse. Can be climbed as 1 pitch (long draws may be useful) or broken into 2 pitches at the 3 bolt anchor of 'Max'.

The extension of MAX taking the high traverse of 'Doubt' to the 'Moaah' anchors near the arête. Clean on top rope.

Starts on a block just right of the tree growing out of the crack line that makes up this route.

Originally 10 bolts, now extended another 3 (U-bolts) past the original anchor, to bring total to 13 bolts, and finishes on anchors visible at the skyline.

Follows the double black mark-ed bolts, starting at 'Max' finishing anchors. Can be accessed in a few other ways eg up 'Felix', 'Garfield'. From 3 U-bolt anchor move right then slightly down & cross cleft. Traverse right till black water streak on ROSY/MORT. Climb diagonally up into the tiny recess, then continue diagonally right to the top of the arête at 'Moaah' anchors. The view and situation on the face here would merit several stars even with poor climbing. Which it isn’t.

Follows the red mark-ed bolts starting at 'Max' s finishing anchors. Can be accessed in a few other ways (eg 'Crouching Tiger'). From the 3 bolt anchors, traverse right 2-3m along the ledge then up to the next ledge and continue traversing right crossing the cleft about 2m higher than '1000000'. Continue rightward crossing the black water streak ('1000000' comes up here), then go diagonally right to near the top of the arête at 'Moaah' anchors.

Shares the first bolt with 'Crouching Tiger', then climb up the slab.

A better start to MTYJ, 1-2 right of the arête. Follow U-bolts to the ledge, then up the cleft starting on left. Currently run-out (for a 10 leader) above the tree.

After toppinig the block, go right for a few meters, then follow P-bolts up crossing the black streak.

Traverse even farther right, past the black streak, and follow U-bolts up to anchors.

Climb up to the ledge above the bolt ladder. Not using the tree or ladder is 13. Up to the smaller ledge and stem the gap to gain the arête on the other side. Up this on ring bolts noting the (safe!) stacked blocks at top.

Slab on arête in descent gulley.

Starts 2m right of 'Sweet Plumb', just right of the obvious off-width crack and climb the arête.

The leftlost route on the short unimpressive looking wall as you walk into the crag from the South.

Climb the groove left of 'Gravy Train'.

Climb break to the right of 'Chicken Wing'.

Just right of 'Tripolactic Fairytales' there is a tree growing on the rock. The route starts right of the roots. Move leftward toward the recess above and then up the wall to the left. Take care of the bees.

Climbs the obvious corner to the left of the large stacked roofs, 5m right of 'True Blue'. Watch the blocks near the top.

Start from the lower of the belay points on the right. Climb the spotlessly clean wall, exiting left at the top.

Start below the triangular corner. Trend slightly left towards the top.

Takes in the hand crack 4m right of the 'Visions of Cosmic Doom'. Uses the lower offs to the left or right.

The wide crack just right of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'.

The easiest break in this area. Up the corner to a recess, using 5 bolts on 'Floating on the Storm'. Step back left to 'Floating on the Storm' lower-offs after surmounting the block.

Left-leaning crack in middle of face, two-bolts to anchor.

Just left of the arête, a short line of U-bolts, seeming to end at anchors on the face around the arête to the right.

To the right behind 'Bolder Problem' is another block. Climb the crack.

Two meters to the right of 'Uriel's Machine'. Starts directly beneath a small overhang five meters up. Note: A toilet brush was used to clean both 'Uriel's Machine' and 'Toilet Brush' and its name is no reflection on how one climbs the route.

The gully. Now has a lot more bolts so it can be led by an 11 leader. Care still required. Better to use the bolts on the right. FA: Who knows (solo) 1991 BB: Gus(?), Clive

Starts in a recess. The face on the left. Can be wet and slippery in rainy season. Harder if you only use the face and not the layback or chimney.

This top-rope route is ideal for first-time climbers, school groups and families. This route is not situated at the same crag as the other climbs, but at the 15m abseil crag (Buffelskloof Berg) about a 500m walk from the campsite.

Climb up or down (if descending) via rounded ledges on side of pillar.
