Description

The lower cliff band on Monte Colt is commonly called Parete di San Paolo. On this long, but not very high rock face some of the most beautiful and famous climbing sectors in the valley were developed in the 1980s: the Parete di San Paolo and the Swing Area. Furthermore, in recent years, many routes have been developed, both sport and traditional. The beauty of the climbs, combined with the comfortable approach and quick return, make this wall one of the most popular sectors in the entire Sarca Valley.

Access issues inherited from Valle del Sarca

Many crags in the area of Arco are located on private land and the huge popularity of climbing and the resulting crowds brought it with it, that issues with land owners popped up in the past and continue to pop up from time to time. Please be sensitive to regional closures and limitations to access. Stay informed and stick to local regulations.

Approach

San Paolo's wall is very long, the road which joins Arco to Ceniga runs along its base. ALong this road you will find 3 car parks. The first is near the inn "La Lanterna" at Ruggero's, an ideal and hospitable place for all climbers.

Descent notes

Calliope - Nereidi (right side), follow the path right then to a road to the carpark.

Other paths - exit left which then heads to base.
